By: H.Khaeruddin Khasbullah.
Noble life or Die a Martyr.
When his aging illness was closing in and neared to his death bed, Kholid bin Walid - The Sword of God, the name given by The Prophet – weept sadly. His best friends felt surprised and It certainly amzed to see him wept sadly. Imagine, Kholid bin Walid was a hero of Islam, he was a smart commander (general), in every battle he encountered, the victory is always guaranteed. Before he was converted to Moslem, he scattered Moslem army in the battle of Uhud. He was a war hero of Yarmuk War in 636 AD and finally managed to annex Palestina and Syria. He was a high commander who could trouble the Roman and Persian armies, the two super powers nations at that time. So his friends who surrounded his bed asked him astonishly: "O - Sword of God, why are you crying in times like this. Are you crying because you fear when facing death?".
